Our Story
The Taskforce
The Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn Women’s Taskforce (ACGWT) is a group of women from the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn who will work together to support and promote women in the local Catholic Church.
The ACGWT was formed after consultations in 2019 with the women of the Archdiocese of Canberra Goulburn from meetings in Canberra, Goulburn, Young, Nimmitabel, Batemans Bay and Bega.
The women discerned the purpose to be:

Ways of being (Formation)

Sharing of the Catholic faith and culture

Disseminating information and resources for adult education in the faith, theology, scripture and spirituality.

Connecting and communicating with all women and energising them for the journey

Forming relationships with other Archdiocesan support and prayer group
3. Ways of transforming (Advocacy)

Being an inclusive voice for women across the archdiocese

Advocating for their varied interests

Being a voice for change for women in the church.
